Focus on Particular Virtues

This lesson is based on pages 52-56 in Our Goal and Our Guides

You might remember a picture of a tower in the book.   The idea for the picture is based on Our Lord's teaching in Luke 14:

Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Will he not first sit down and estimate the cost to see if he has enough money to complete it? For if he lays the foundation and is not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule him, saying, 'This fellow began to build and was not able to finish.'
In the same way, working consciously to learn more and apply the knowledge of different virtues can help a Christian build a solid foundation.   Faith, of course, is the main theme of the year and has already been mentioned.    The others are:

  1. Humility
  2. Prudence
  3. Fortitude
  4. Charity
